Lando Norris: This is one of my best victories.
Lando Norris won the Dutch Grand Prix, achieving his second consecutive victory, which clearly confirms both McLaren's progress and the fact that only those who start from pole position win in Zandvoort.
Lando Norris (1st): "A magnificent result! But the race was tough – as I promised yesterday, in this final race in Zandvoort, I will try to put on a show for everyone, especially for the fans.
Today I made it harder for myself, yet the race went well. This is probably one of my best victories, but it was a hard-fought one. The pace was very confident, and I managed to do everything right. I'm on cloud nine, very happy, because it's so great to win the last race at this circuit!
On lap 51, I was able to overtake Kimi Antonelli – I pulled off a decent maneuver! I knew that there wouldn't be many chances to get back to the front, and with each lap, they were becoming fewer.
I saw Lewis Hamilton defending against Kimi and realized that the moment had come. I adjusted the brake balance by a couple of clicks because I knew I had to be very decisive on the brakes, and that overtake allowed me to win the race. I knew I had to make that maneuver, and it worked out.
I probably had the only chance to take the lead, and I made the most of it. Overall, another victory has been achieved, and I'm just happy!
It may sound cliché, but I take each race separately, although many say this phrase. For now, there's no point in thinking too far ahead; first and foremost, I plan to focus on my plans for a short break between races, as I need to recover, analyze everything, and draw all the necessary conclusions since we certainly didn't do everything perfectly.
If we want to fight for the championship win, we need to work better. But I'm very pleased with our team and glad that I could secure this victory for McLaren, and it's the second one in a row. However, it was harder for me than I would have liked, and I also want us to win with a more significant advantage.
But there are still many races ahead, and everyone will have plenty of opportunities to shine, and I intend to keep working hard – then success will come."
Oscar Piastri (6th): "Of course, I'm disappointed. I think both the first lap and the lap after the restart, and the entire first stint went fine, but after that, nothing good happened. I don't know what the problems were related to, but we still have to analyze everything in detail.
First of all, the pace issues started, and I have more questions than answers at the moment. I hope that together with the team we will sort everything out, but for now, there are too many difficulties."
