Carlos Sainz apologized to his teammate.

      The Dutch Grand Prix ended for Williams with a collision between Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon at the first corner. Alex's car sustained heavy damage, and although he managed to reach the pits on his own, he could not continue the race. Carlos Sainz received a 10-second penalty and apologized to his teammate and the team after the finish.

      Carlos Sainz (16th): "First of all, I want to apologize to Alex and the team for the collision at the end of the race. I was on a heavily worn set of Hard tires, and while braking before the first corner, I hit a bump, locked up the wheels, and couldn't stop the car in time. Of course, this was the worst scenario to end such a difficult weekend. I apologize once again to Alex and the team.

      Overall, throughout the weekend, we struggled to find a good pace. We had to conduct numerous tests to identify the reasons for the issues we encountered. Because of this, we found ourselves in a position of being behind and couldn't compete today.

      On the positive side, the team managed to find a few solutions that we will use in the upcoming races, so we hope to come back stronger in Monza."

      Alex Albon (retirement): "On a clear track, the car handled well, and our pace was close to that of the midfield, which is positive. The collision with Carlos was a racing incident. We both went into the corner, and he locked up the wheels. This is not how we wanted to end the weekend, and it's not what the team needed, but what happened, happened. As is usual in such cases, we will discuss everything together.

      We need to analyze today's strategy, as we were battling with Fernando Alonso, who finished ahead. I think we made our first pit stop too early, reacting to a potential 'undercut' instead of just continuing our race.

      As a result, I had to constantly drive in 'dirty' air and under blue flags, so my second stint was chaotic. The team and I will analyze everything and hope for a cleaner weekend in Monza."
