      🏁 Hyundai is preparing a new category of vehicles positioned above the "N Line," which is typically associated with sporty appearance packages, but below the official N models. Hyundai CEO Jose Munoz discussed this during the company’s Investor Day in South Korea on Wednesday, describing it as “a new volume high-performance variant that carries over the [N] powertrain and parts package,” enabling customers “who want that experience daily on their commute to have it without needing to purchase a track car.” [Drive]

      🔋 During this meeting, Hyundai also announced plans for a hybrid surge in the U.S., aiming to introduce 10 new electrified models by 2030. By that time, they expect hybrids to make up half of their sales volume. [Reuters]

      🌎 Honda has expressed reluctance to construct an eighth North American plant without a new U.S.-Mexico-Canada trade agreement. Executive Vice President Noriya Kaihara stated that a decision would need to be made within the next two years, with hopes for the plant to be operational by 2030, assuming approval is granted.       🆕 Additionally, a forward-looking Future Product Pipeline report from Automotive News suggests that the Honda CR-V and Accord could become hybrid-only models in the next decade, with the Accord joining its competitor, the Toyota Camry, in phasing out pure combustion engines. Acura is also speculated to be introducing a new three-row SUV positioned above the MDX in 2029, tentatively named “XL.” [Automotive News]

      🔧 Toyota is recalling nearly 50,000 Tacoma Off-Road trucks due to defective Bilstein shock absorbers, which have external oil reservoirs that may corrode and detach. However, not all vehicles in the recall will necessarily require part replacements, so Toyota advises owners to check their specific VIN on the NHTSA website. [Motor1]
