      Formula 1 chief Stefano Domenicali wants to hold the final races of the season in Qatar and Abu Dhabi, but there is still no certainty that these events will take place. Ferrari team principal Frederic Vasseur says that teams need clarity on this issue as soon as possible, since a potential cancellation of the Middle Eastern races would allow for the reallocation of part of the budget to other tasks.

      Frederic Vasseur: "From a budgetary constraints perspective, the situation is more complicated than it seems, as the two races in Qatar and Abu Dhabi require huge expenses.

      If we don't go there, perhaps that money could be spent on something else. For example, on car development. This concerns not only us but all the other teams as well. At some point, a decision will have to be made.

      From a logistics standpoint, all teams need to decide by September because we need to send equipment to the Middle East, and delaying this decision any further won't be possible.

      I think if we make a decision in September, there will be enough time to prepare for the last six or seven races of the season."
