Williams and Komatsu expand cooperation

      Before the race weekend in Monza, the Williams F1 Team and the Japanese engineering conglomerate Komatsu, one of the team's main sponsors, announced the continuation of their collaboration. As stated in the press release published today, this demonstrates "faith in Williams' mission – to return to the group of leaders and compete for victories in championships."

      The first agreements with Komatsu were signed in 2024, but the British team's press service reminds that at one time, specialists from the Japanese company helped develop individual components of the championship-winning Williams racing cars in 1996 and 1997.

      Primarily, this concerns technical support in the development of hydraulic systems, and this support is now taking new forms, which is why Komatsu receives the status of Official Innovation Partner of the team.

      Beyond the racetracks, the two organizations will continue their joint activities aimed at nurturing new engineering talents, as the Komatsu-Williams Engineering Academy was established back in 2024. In particular, some specialists from the Japanese company will have the opportunity to work alongside the team's engineers during race weekends.

      Komatsu's logos will still be prominently visible on both Williams cars and the team's staff uniforms.
