      La inspección técnica de los monoplazas de McLaren reveló que la plancha de control bajo el fondo estaba más desgastada de lo permitido y no cumplía los requisitos. Según el reglamento técnico, el espesor mínimo admisible de la plancha de control a lo largo de toda su longitud es de 9 mm, y en los monoplazas de Norris y Piastri es inferior.

      La infracción ha sido remitida a los comisarios para su examen; ambos pilotos de McLaren se enfrentan a la descalificación.
