      Max Verstappen ganó el Gran Premio de Las Vegas: para él era fundamental seguir entre los aspirantes al título. Y el tetracampeón del mundo cumplió a la perfección con la tarea…

      Max Verstappen (1.º): «¡Fue una buena carrera! Antes de la salida no sabíamos cómo se comportarían los neumáticos, y aun durante la carrera se veía que todos intentaban encontrar el ritmo adecuado y entender cuánto se podía atacar, especialmente en el primer tramo de la carrera.

      Pero todo salió bastante bien, aunque antes en esta prueba nos resultaba difícil. Normalmente en este circuito nuestro coche no trabajaba de la mejor manera con los neumáticos, pero parece que hoy todo estaba bajo control y pude atacar más activamente.

      Gracias a eso el ritmo fue algo más alto, pude permanecer en pista más tiempo, así que dividimos la distancia en dos mitades, y eso nos ayudó sin duda. El coche funcionó bastante bien, respondiendo mucho más a mis preferencias, y ya cerca del final pude abrir una ventaja bastante considerable, porque ya no había necesidad de ahorrar los neumáticos.

      Mejor no pensar todavía en el título; la desventaja sigue siendo grande, pero siempre intentamos lograr el mejor resultado posible, y esa es nuestra prioridad. Intentaremos ganar las dos carreras que quedan, y después del Gran Premio de Abu Dabi veremos cómo acaba todo.

      Pero estoy muy orgulloso de todo nuestro equipo, porque la temporada ha sido diversa; también hubo periodos difíciles, pero también momentos maravillosos, y este año nos ha enseñado mucho. Hay que buscar mejoras constantemente, así que intentaremos comenzar el próximo campeonato con más confianza. ¡Y además, lo que está pasando ahora nos da placer!..
