В четверг в Сильверстоуне журналисты окружили Макса Ферстаппена, однако он не стал обсуждать настойчивые слухи о возможном переходе в Mercedes.
Некоторые предположили, что Ферстаппен может взять годичный перерыв, чтобы оценить ситуацию в 2026 году и затем подписать контракт с самой перспективной командой, но этот вариант Макс отклонил.
Макс Ферстаппен: «Нет, я точно не собираюсь в отпуск. Я буду участвовать в Формуле 1 и в будущем надеюсь совмещать свои выступления с участием в других гонках, которые мне интересны. Я хочу попробовать свои силы вне Формулы 1, и я уже начинаю это делать, участвуя в тестах, но в конечном итоге хочу участвовать и в гонках.
Слухи о переходе в Mercedes? Честно говоря, мне нечего добавить к тому, что я сказал на прошлой неделе в Австрии. Всё, что я сказал тогда, остается в силе. С моей стороны ничего не изменилось.
В Австрии у нас был не лучший уик-энд, к тому же немного не повезло – мы не смогли добиться хорошего результата. Там мы упустили свою возможность, но здесь можем добиться большего – на это я и настроен».
