In the winter off-season in all Formula 1 teams management is actively engaged in preparation for the upcoming championship, and it is understandable, but some racing bosses do it in their own way. For example, Zak Brown, executive director of McLaren Racing, every year he himself sits behind the wheel of different cars, which he has a whole collection, and performs in races. On his social media pages, Brown shared a couple of photos that captured him in the process of adjusting the seat in the cockpits of two famous historic cars. "Starting the season the right way by adjusting a new seat in two of my favorite cars on which my favorite drivers performed," writes Zak. - Both cars were piloted by world and IndyCar Series champions! They are Mario Andretti's 1979 Lotus in John Player Special colors and Nigel Mansell's 1987 Williams FW11B. Don't be surprised if you see them on the track during the British Grand Prix!" We must assume this means that during the Silverstone race weekend Brown will be taking part in the demonstrations and demo runs that take place there every year. But he will certainly not limit himself to this: last August we told you about his success in the races of historic cars, held in the traditional Californian festival Monterey Motorsport Reunion. Then he and his team United Autosports won at the wheel of Williams FW07B, on which Alan Jones in 1980 became world champion. When the boss not only leads, but also demonstrates that he also knows how to do something, then we should not be surprised at the current success of racers McLaren, which, of course, trying to keep up with Zak Brown.
