Formula 1 will once again change its race director

FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem is not ready to implement the idea of permanent stewards of the Grand Prix, but continues the ongoing since the death of Charlie Whiting, the chaarchy of FIA officials in the post of director of racing Formula 1.

When Sulayem unexpectedly announced last November that he was removing the inconvenient Nils Wittich as F1 race director and appointing Rui Marques to the role, it was hinted that "race directors don't grow on trees", especially with a reputation as impeccable as Wittich's. But that's not the end of the story; speaking in Madrid, FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem said, "There will be fresh blood and more than one race director." Sulayem is finding it increasingly difficult to control the independence-seeking racing series.
