FIA president sees no point in diversity quotas

FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem does not think it is necessary to introduce quotas for racial and gender diversity among the officials of the federation. Mohammed Ben Sulayem: "When we invite people to work in the federation, we do not think about diversity. When hiring women we don't think they should be 30%. We hire people based on merit and credibility. We hire non-Europeans from other countries because they are good, they are trained, they have the passion to compete. Not because of his skin color or religion - in that case we get a weak FIA that doesn't deliver on its promises, and we need a strong federation."
