Williams and Atlassian have declared a Title Partnership, resulting in the formation of Atlassian Williams Racing.
Williams Racing and Atlassian are excited to announce a long-term title partnership that will launch a new chapter for the famous Formula 1 team, now called Atlassian Williams Racing.
Williams, which ranks as the joint-second most successful team in F1 history with 114 victories, 9 Constructors' Championships, and 7 Drivers' Championships, is partnering with Atlassian (NASDAQ: TEAM), a leading provider of collaboration and productivity software that serves over 300,000 customers worldwide.
This collaboration brings together two organizations focused on teamwork: Atlassian’s AI-enhanced collaboration software enables teams ranging from 10 to over 10,000 to effectively plan and track their work, align their goals, and seamlessly share knowledge. For nearly 50 years, Williams has competed in F1, showcasing teamwork across various disciplines in pursuit of sporting achievement.
Through this partnership, Atlassian will serve as the Official Title Partner, Official Technology Partner, and Official Collaboration Software Partner. This multi-year agreement represents the largest partnership deal in Williams’ 48-year history, affirming its stature as an icon in one of the most popular and fastest-growing sports globally. It also reflects confidence in the team's strategy for a comeback aimed at achieving future World Championship success.
Atlassian will play a key role in facilitating this transformation with its System of Work designed for technology-focused companies, emphasizing connectivity across all teams and leveraging AI to enhance impact and innovation. Implementing this approach, along with the Atlassian product suite, will unlock the potential of Atlassian Williams Racing, fostering deeper teamwork and collaboration to improve on-track performance.
As the Official Title Partner, Atlassian’s branding will be prominently displayed on the FW47 race cars driven in the 2025 Formula 1 season by Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz—among the strongest driver pairings on the grid—set to be revealed at Silverstone on Friday. Atlassian branding will also permeate the team environment, both trackside and at the team’s Grove HQ.
The new Atlassian Williams Racing logo, unveiled today, embodies this genuine partnership. It has been uniquely designed to blend the identities of Atlassian and Williams Racing, merging distinctive elements and incorporating signature blues from each brand’s color palette.
The FW47 will debut on Friday with a special livery celebrating the partnership, before the official 2025 race livery is disclosed on February 18 at the F1 season launch at London’s The O2.
James Vowles, Team Principal of Atlassian Williams Racing, stated, “I am thrilled to welcome Atlassian into Formula 1 and embark on our journey as Atlassian Williams Racing. Securing a title partnership of this magnitude is a significant milestone in our team’s rich history and a crucial step in our transformation. We are laying down the essential components to bring this team back to the forefront, and with Atlassian, we have a partner whose technology and tools will help unleash our full potential by enhancing teamwork and collaboration across the organization. Our values and ambitions align seamlessly, and I am eager to see what we can accomplish together.”
Mike Cannon-Brookes, CEO of Atlassian, remarked, “Formula 1 is the epitome of team sports. It is where engineers, developers, commercial teams, pit crews, and many others collaborate in real-time at astonishing speeds to strive for a podium finish. Atlassian shares Williams’ strong belief in the power of teamwork. We recognize that when exceptional teams have the right tools and practices, they can achieve what may seem impossible alone.
“As one of the pioneering global technology companies from Australia, we understand the passion, drive, and determination needed to build something remarkable. This team has undergone an impressive transformation, and I am confident that Atlassian Williams Racing has all the foundations for a renewed era of success.”
