Sainz opposes ban on foul language

Carlos Sainz criticized the FIA's desire to eradicate foul language among Formula 1 drivers... Carlos Sainz: "I think at official events, like press conferences, drivers need to show maturity and avoid foul language. There's no need to swear in these situations. We are sensible enough to know what is okay to say. For me, it's just a matter of education and manners. But when it comes to talking on the radio, strict restrictions are not applicable. You can't imagine the pressure and adrenaline we feel in the car. And I actually think that Formula 1 display of real emotions only benefits, in such moments fans see the racers real, as they are. We are already very limited in what we can tell you about our teams, about our situations. We are already sometimes dictated what to say, including on the radio. But on the track you feel that passion, those words, even if sometimes we express ourselves, and I think that in Formula 1 we shouldn't get rid of that."
