But this winter the team worked even harder than in previous years. Although we must admit that there are very few areas in which we could improve, because of the stable regulations and the current rules. If a year ago, everyone could add at least half a second, and it was normal, but now, when all cars are approximately equal in their capabilities, it is very difficult to find reserves of speed. I think that the pre-season tests in Bahrain and the first race is not so important in terms of progress compared to previous years. In the previous two seasons I have seen teams generally make improvements throughout the championship. Although in the past, if you started the season well, it was a kind of guarantee that you will continue to show stable results. But in the past two years we saw a radically different picture: in 2023 in the course of the season added McLaren, last year - Mercedes and Haas ... So now I have a more calm mood before the start of the season. And, from our point of view, the year can be considered quite good, if the results will be at least at the level of last season ... I believe the cause of last year's problems we have identified and know at what point the team lost the right way in the process of modernization. But now in the course of aerodynamic studies we apply different approaches to the improvement of the chassis, which, as we believe, should give more reliable results.
