A date has been set for Massa's court hearings against Formula 1

      In March 2024, former Formula 1 driver Felipe Massa filed a lawsuit in the High Court of London against the FIA, FOM and Bernie Ecclestone demanding financial damages. The court has set a date for the start of the hearing today.

      The trial will begin on October 28, 2025. Representatives of the FIA, Formula One Management and Ecclestone are required to appear in a London court for the first hearing.

      The story of the former racer's lawsuit against Formula 1 began in the summer of 2023. In August of that year, Felipe Massa officially notified the FIA and Formula 1 of his intention to take legal action over their collusion and inaction during the 2008 season after the accident of Nelson Piquet Jr. Massa insists that the results of the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix should be annulled.

      If the court sides with the Brazilian after the hearing, Massa will still not receive the official title of 2008 world champion. Felipe is demanding compensation for the financial damage he suffered due to inaction on the part of the FIA, FOM and Bernie Ecclestone. The official size of the claims was not announced, but as the press found out, the former racer is demanding compensation in the amount of 60 to 150 million pounds.
