Alonso: We had problems all the days.

On the final day of testing in Bahrain, Fernando Alonso spent most of his time driving an Aston Martin, although he was supposed to share the day equally with his team-mate, but Lance Stroll felt unwell at night, so he could only work for a few hours.

The team noted that the new car handles better than last year's, but it's too early to draw conclusions about competitiveness.

Lance Stroll (13th): "Getting back to work and getting a first impression of a new car is always an exciting time of the year. During the winter, the team put a lot of effort into creating the AMR25. We've been trying to improve various features, so it was interesting to get our first impressions of these changes.

You always learn a lot in the first few minutes behind the wheel of a new car. I can say that it feels like the car has improved in some ways, but it's hard to talk about anything in particular until we arrive in Melbourne.

The final day of the tests was ruined because I wasn't feeling very well. I did 34 laps in the afternoon and then Fernando finished the session."

Fernando Alonso (16th): "The pre-season tests were short because we had some minor problems throughout the three days. The weather also affected the work on the track, but everything was on an equal footing.

I didn't follow the results of others, as we were focused on executing our own program. Compared to the 2024 car, we have seen some positive changes, but there are still areas that need to be worked on and improved in preparation for the Australian stage.

During the tests, we experimented with the mechanical settings, but the conditions on the track were not the best. These are just tests, and we won't know the balance of power until qualifying in Melbourne."
