The amount of prize payments to teams based on the results of 2024
The press calculated the amount of prize payments due to Formula 1 teams at the end of the 2024 season.
In total, all teams will receive 1.266 billion US dollars from the owners of Formula 1 from Liberty Media. The distribution of these prizes to each team goes according to three points: depending on the position in the Constructors' Cup, depending on the so-called "success bonus", which takes into account the achievements of the team over the past ten years, and the historical bonus. Only Ferrari has one, and the Maranello team gets it for participating in all seasons since 1950.
According to the results of last season, Ferrari received the largest amount of prizes due to the second place in the Constructors' Cup, a historical bonus and the successes of previous years. The McLaren Constructors' Cup winners are only in fourth place in the overall ranking in terms of prize money, due to the lack of major victories in recent years against the background of the championship titles of Mercedes and Red Bull Racing over the past ten years.
