Wasser: Lewis works with such energy, like he's a beginner.

Frederic Wasser, the head of the Ferrari team, was more than commendable about the beginning of cooperation with Lewis Hamilton, with whom he worked back in those early days when the future seven-time world champion competed in the youth series.

Frederic Wasser: "We are finally back on the track and can focus on racing again! It's good that I'm back on the pit wall, and I'm primarily interested in lap times. But this is the very beginning of the season, so after the first training sessions there is no point in making any conclusions, but the morning session left positive impressions, because everything went well.

But the work on finding the optimal balance of the chassis continues, in particular, this applies to Lewis Hamilton's car, but now everyone is doing the same work. If your car behaves perfectly during the very first training session, it only means that you are not attacking aggressively enough.

We'll see how things develop further, but our goal is to get the car working optimally for qualifying and the race, but not before. Of course, we must continue to work with the settings, carry out all possible checks, and try to improve the car with each session so that it is as fast as possible not at the beginning of the weekend, but towards its end.

We've known Lewis for a long time, since the youth series, and he's always been distinguished by his close attention to all the nuances, and although we're both older now, the approach has remained the same. Lewis is a real racer, but it is very interesting for us now to see how the seven–time world champion, having joined our team, works with such energy and with such enthusiasm, as if he were a beginner. And it's very cool!"
