Ayo Komatsu: We will not give up!

For Haas F1, the stage in Melbourne is still going poorly. Oliver Berman was involved in accidents twice during the weekend, and did not complete a single lap in qualifying due to gearbox problems. His experienced team-mate Esteban Ocon showed only 19th time.

Oliver Berman (without time): "It's a shame that we didn't manage to complete a single lap today. But tomorrow it should be interesting – we will try to achieve more. I apologize to the team that had to work with only one car this weekend."

Esteban Ocon (19th): "Honestly, after the tests, we didn't expect so many problems. Historically, this track has been difficult for the team, but we are surprised to be so far behind. I've improved in every session, which is encouraging, but we clearly need more. The forecast promises rain tomorrow, we will try to take advantage of this."

Ayo Komatsu, Team leader: "Another difficult day considering yesterday's speed issues. We did our best to improve the car and made progress, but it wasn't enough.

We are seriously lacking speed in fast corners, an unexpected problem after the Bahrain test, but that's the reality. We need to find a solution as soon as possible.

Of course, it will help us if it rains tomorrow – we just won't have the pace on a dry track. We will not give up! The work continues."
