Yuki Tsunoda (5th): "I didn't expect such a result today. I was hoping to make it to the qualifying finals, but I didn't think I'd end up this high. The slip stream from Lando helped me a little, for which I am grateful to him.
The car was consistently good throughout the weekend, the team did their best, and I'm honestly surprised by our progress compared to Abu Dhabi. Based on this result, we can judge the hard work in the offseason – thanks to everyone involved.
We know it's going to rain a little tomorrow, and we've prepared for it by setting up the car. I'm excited and confident–I just need to stay focused."
Isaac Hajjar (11th): "I'm quite happy with today. If I had been told that I would be 11th in my first Formula 1 qualifying, I would not have minded. The first session went well, in the second I wasn't happy with the balance and I lost a bit of lap time, which is a bit frustrating.
Albert Park has a very specific track, but today's results were the result of hard work – we understood the car better and made a big step forward compared to the tests in Bahrain.
The forecast for tomorrow promises rain – this will be my first rain race in Formula 1. I don't have that kind of experience, so I'll rely on my instincts and quick wit."
