Pascal Wehrlein makes his Le Mans debut

Former Formula 1 racer and current Formula E champion Pascal Wehrlein will compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans this year - Porsche has announced him as the third driver in the Porsche Penske Motorsport team.

Wehrlein will partner former Formula 1 driver Felipe Nasr and endurance racing veteran Nick Tandy.

Pascal Wehrlein: "It was my dream to drive for Porsche Penske at Le Mans. I am looking forward to this challenge, where, unlike Formula E, I will have to share everything that I usually customize specifically for myself: landing, settings, strategy and much more.

Of course, I want to add big wins in other series to the Formula E title, but my main goal is to work for the benefit of the team and learn a lot."
