Verstappen did not like the decision of the Red Bull management

The Red Bull management decided to transfer Liam Lawson from Red Bull Racing to the junior Racing Bulls team after only two stages of the new Formula 1 season. Judging by Max Verstappen's reaction on social media, he clearly did not like this development.

Former Formula 1 driver Guido van der Garde posted a message on social media in which he criticized the leaders of Red Bull and wrote words of support to Liam Lawson. Max Verstappen liked this post, but after a while he took it down. Most likely, this happened after representatives of Red Bull Racing contacted the current world champion and asked him not to publicly express a position that contradicts the opinion of the team.

"I'm a little tired of all these comments that Formula 1 is the most difficult sport, and if you don't achieve results, you have to face the consequences," Guido van der Garde wrote. – Yes, you have to show results. Yes, the pressure is just insane, but in my opinion, what happened looks like bullying or a panic act, rather than a real assessment of the athlete. They made the decision, fully conscious, to give Liam only two races in order to break his spirit.

Don't forget about Liam's dedication, hard work, and the successes he has achieved over the years to reach the level he is at now. I remember my blood, sweat and tears – and that's just to get into Formula 1. Not to mention to compete for the absolute best team.

Yes, he didn't perform well enough in the first two races, but if anyone is most worried about it, it's him. He may have suggested a replacement himself, but if not, I wish Liam the strength and courage to step onto the starting grid in Japan.

Believe in yourself, raise your head and prove them wrong."
