Jos Verstappen cheers Liam Lawson on

Jos Verstappen, the father of the four–time world champion, commented on the personnel changes at Red Bull Racing, where, starting with the Japanese Grand Prix, his son Max will have a new team-mate, Yuki Tsunoda,

and Liam Lawson will return to Racing Bulls, his former team, in which he made his Formula 1 debut.

Verstappen Sr. was very brief, expressing his support for the New Zealand driver - it seems quite sincere.

"I really hope that you're leaving to do a great job at Racing Bulls," he wrote on the Faenza team's social media page, referring to Lawson. "Liam deserves to be in F1."
