For the fifth stage of the season, the leaders of the individual standings Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri and Max Verstappen arrived with a difference of eight points. There was no rush at Red Bull in training, and the McLaren drivers were ahead, and when Verstappen accelerated at the crucial moment of qualifying, the rivals were not ready.

In an attempt to recoup, Lando crashed the car, and Max took pole – the second in a row in Jeddah. Piastri showed the second time, losing only one hundredth to the leader.

Verstappen and Piastri started from the first row of the starting field, Russell and Leclair from the second, Antonelli and Sainz from the third. Hamilton was unable to find an approach to Ferrari this weekend and started the race seventh.

Last week, the racers were unhappy with the performance of the tires in hot Bahrain – then Pirelli brought the toughest compounds, and in the same weather, they chose soft ones for Jeddah – C3, C4 and C5 in the role of Hard, Medium and Soft, and everyone was satisfied with that.

In the race, Norris, Hajjar, Stroll and Hulkenberg started on Hard, while the rest chose Medium.

At the start, Piastri attacked Verstappen, but Max fought off the attack, drove off the track and retained the lead. Verstappen did not return the position and received a five-second penalty.

Gasly attacked Tsunoda, the cars collided, Pierre crashed into a wall, and Yuki continued to move and dropped out of the fight in the pits. The safety car pulled out. Okon and Bortoleto changed their tires.

      Top ten on lap 3: Verstappen - Piastri - Russell - Leclair - Antonelli - Hamilton - Sainz - Norris - Albon - Alonso.

On the 4th lap, the restart was announced. Verstappen retained the lead.

On lap 5, Hajjar beat Alonso in the fight for 10th place.

On lap 7, Norris beat Sainz to 7th place.

Verstappen tried to pull away, but Piastri stayed a second behind, controlling the distance.

On lap 13, Norris overtook Hamilton in the last corner, but Lewis regained position in the DRS zone. On lap 14, the situation repeated itself.

On lap 15, Norris passed Hamilton, and Lawson passed Alonso.

On lap 19, Norris beat Antonelli to fifth place. Berman changed the tires.

The top ten on lap 20: Verstappen - Piastri - Russell - Leclair - Antonelli - Norris - Hamilton - Sainz - Albon - Hajjar.

On lap 20, Piastri, Antonelli and Alonso changed tires. On the 21st– Russell and Lawson. Back on the track, Piastri was ahead of Hamilton.

On Lap 22, Verstappen made a pit stop and served a penalty. Sainz changed the rubber.

Albon made a pit stop on lap 23, and Hamilton made a pit stop on lap 24.

On lap 25, Lawson attacked Bortoleto, Alonso also attacked Gabriel, but Gabriel did not see the Spaniard - there was contact between them, after which Fernando cut off the turn and regained position.

On lap 26, Alonso overtook Bortoleto, followed by Berman passing Gabriel.

On lap 28, Lawson was ahead of Duane, and Sainz was ahead of Hulkenberg.

On lap 29, Alonso was ahead of Duane, and Elbon was ahead of Hulkenberg.

On lap 30, Leclair changed the tires.

On lap 31, Sainz was ahead of Stroll, Berman ahead of Duane.

On lap 32, Elbon overtook Stroll in the fight for 10th place.

On lap 33, Lawson overtook Okon in the fight for 13th place. Duane changed the tires.

On lap 34, Hulkenberg made a pit stop. Alonso beat Ocon in the fight for 13th place.

On lap 35, Norris changed tires, returning fifth.  Lando ran over the white line at the exit from the pit lane - the stewards left the incident without consequences. Hajjar made a pit stop.

      Top ten on lap 35: Piastri - Verstappen - Russell - Leclair - Norris - Antonelli - Hamilton - Sainz - Albon - Hajjar.

On lap 38, Leclair beat Russell to third place.

The stewards fined Lawson with an increase of ten seconds – he gained an advantage in the fight with Duane by driving off the track and did not regain his position.

On lap 40, Stroll changed tires.

On lap 41, Norris beat Russell to fourth place.

The Haas F1 racers switched positions at the request of the team – Okon missed Berman.

Oscar Piastri has won the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, taking his third victory of the season and the fifth of his career. For the first time in his career, Piastri topped the World Cup personal scoring table.

Max Verstappen finished second, and Charles Leclair brought Ferrari its first podium of the season (except for the sprint in China).

Lando Norris regained six positions during the race, finishing fourth.
