Norris gave up alcohol to fight for the title
The first five stages of the season have shown that McLaren drivers Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris are among the contenders for the title. After the race in Jeddah, Lando said that he had changed his lifestyle in order to increase his chances of competing for first place at the end of the season.
"I would love to repeat the party we had last year before the Miami Grand Prix, because it was one of the best days of my life,– Lando told Viaplay. – I won the race right after it. I miss my friends, because I had a good week in Amsterdam back then, but now I'm fighting for the title.
I can't afford this lifestyle anymore. After the races, I have to go home and train. The race in Jeddah was physically challenging, and I wouldn't mind a drink. But this year I didn't drink at all, and I'm proud of it. I continue to work hard and no longer go to parties.
I'm fighting with the best drivers in the world – Max Verstappen, Oscar, Charles Leclair and George Russell. If I make even the slightest mistake, then the reckoning will be immediate."
