Kimi Antonelli: It's a shame that everything happened like that.
Kimi Antonelli started from pole position in the Miami sprint, but lost the fight to Oscar Piastri in the first corner and dropped back to fourth place.
During the sprint, the Mercedes driver was unlucky once again – when he went into the pits for slicks, he was prevented by Max Verstappen, which prevented Kimi from turning to his mechanics. The Italian driver had to enter the pit lane again on the next lap to make a pit stop.
As a result, instead of the victory that Antonelli dreamed of after winning qualifying, he finished only tenth.
Kimi Antonelli: "It's a shame that everything happened like that, because today was a great opportunity. I'm annoyed about what happened on the first lap. It seems like you can do whatever you want on the first lap. Well, it's good to know about this for the future.
It's a pity that everything ended like this, but it's good that there will still be qualifying today, in which we can win back."
