Frederick Wasser: I think we acted correctly.

In Miami, both Ferrari drivers scored points, but only for 7th and 8th places. At the same time, closer to the finish of the race, everyone heard their polemic on the radio with their engineers, both insisting on using team tactics. At first, Lewis Hamilton insisted that he could go faster than Charles Leclair, but he ended up having to return the position to his teammate.

"I can understand the frustrated feelings of our guys during the race," commented Frederic Wasser, head of the Italian team, after the finish of the Miami Grand Prix. – But in the end, everything was done clearly: Lewis was driving behind Charles on softer tires, and we allowed him to get ahead of his teammate.

But closer to the finish line, we made a reverse exchange of positions, because  Lewis got his chance, but it turned out that it was impossible to overtake Antonelli. In any case, I think we acted correctly.

Of course, it was possible to make decisions faster, but first we need to figure out why one rider is faster than the other – because he is really capable of a higher pace, or because he has the opportunity to use DRS?

It took us one lap to make a decision, and another lap to implement this decision."

Vasseur was also asked about the real state of affairs at Ferrari, and he made it clear that things were not going so badly: "It all depends on the starting point. If we focus on Red Bull and Mercedes, then we are about at their level. We can fight them if we start from higher positions. If you focus on McLaren, then it's more difficult to compete with them."
