Isaac Hajjar: I'm not happy with the way I piloted.
Isaac Hajjar was close to scoring points in Miami, but at the finish he lost less than two tenths of a second to Yuki Tsunoda in the fight for tenth place. The Racing Bulls racer believes that his own mistakes prevented him from achieving more.
Liam Lawson's car was seriously damaged at the start of the race when Jack Duane crashed into him at the first corner. The New Zealander continued the race, but when the team realized that there was no chance of a good result, Liam was removed from the race.
Isaac Hajjar (11th): "I'm not happy with the way I drove today because I made a few mistakes. I think it cost me tenth place. At the same time, it shows how hard I'm attacking – I've squeezed everything out of the car.
The race turned out to be interesting, as the last laps turned into a qualifying battle with Yuki Tsunoda. On the last lap, I knew I was still more than five seconds behind, so I did everything I could, but it wasn't enough. One and a half tenths was not enough for me to earn one point.
I'm heading to the next stage in Imola with confidence. I know the track well and have won it in Formula 2."
Liam Lawson (exit): "I got off to a really good start. I saw an empty seat in the first corner and went there for another car, and then I got hit from the side.
The car was damaged, but we were hoping for rain, so I stayed on the track. Unfortunately, it didn't rain. It's a pity that it ended like this, because the team did a great job this weekend and the car was fast.
We will regroup before the next series of stages and try to improve."
