James Voules: I can't help but be proud of the team.
In Miami, Williams once again scored points with two cars, which was the most productive stage for the team since the beginning of the year.…
James Voules, team principal: "It's been a difficult weekend, but I'm happy with the result. Given the difficulties we faced yesterday morning, it was a pleasure to get both cars into the qualifying final on Saturday and two cars to score points on Sunday.
The season is long, the teams will make changes, we'll see how things turn out in the next races, but to earn points in five of the first six races is a serious improvement compared to what it was before.
I can't help but be proud of the team and our drivers. Alex and Carlos really give their all to our team, we are on the right track and moving forward."
Alex Albon (5th): "I'm glad that I was able to reboot and join the fight after yesterday's penalty! The car was fast, today everything depended on pure speed.
I am very pleased with the result. To be honest, I can hardly believe it when I remember where we were 12 months ago. This shows the progress we have made and our ability to perform at the highest level. Yes, we will not achieve such success in every race yet, but we will continue to fight, and today we will celebrate success."
Carlos Sainz (9th): "I am disappointed with the results of the race. Yesterday's misunderstanding with the use of kits forced me to start on rolled tires. Unfortunately, after avoiding contact with Lando on the first lap as he was returning to the track, I collided with Alex and seriously damaged the bottom.
There was a misunderstanding between the two halves of our boxes, which we will sort out, but with the damage I received, the loss of positions was inevitable.
I did everything I could to stay up and keep up with my rivals, and ninth place is the highest possible result.
The positive aspect is the very good pace and the best balance of the car since the beginning of the season. We will analyze everything and draw conclusions."
