Andrea Stella: "Sunday afternoon summed up a wonderful weekend. First and second place in the sprint, followed by a winning double in the Grand Prix, is the best possible result for any team. A year ago, with the victory in Miami, a new era began in the history of our team, and in these 12 months we have consolidated and developed our success.

Not for the first time this year, I would like to thank the McLaren staff who designed, manufactured, built and race this phenomenal car, all our technical and commercial partners and fans who rejoice with us in our success.

After a hard fight in qualifying, it was nice to see the car allowing Oscar and Lando to dominate the race. Oscar was fast and precise, used all the opportunities and showed great pace. Lando was delayed in this mess at the start, but recovered from sixth place, and then overtook Max Verstappen and could claim victory.

This success is a great foundation for the rest of the season, but we understand that we just might have been lucky, so we will continue to work on the MCL39. Let's see what she can achieve after the championship returns to Europe."
