Vettel has no doubt that Hamilton will succeed.
This is not the first time Sebastian Vettel has spoken out in support of Lewis Hamilton, who is still far from doing what the seven-time world champion and his fans would like at Ferrari.
Hamilton had some success only in sprints: he won a short Saturday race in China and finished third in Miami. But in the qualifiers, he loses to his teammate, Charles Leclair, with a score of 1:5, including at the previous stage he could not get into the final session at all. As a result, Lewis finished 8th in that race.
Vettel competed for Ferrari from 2015 to 2020 and understands the difficulties associated with adapting to the Italian team and its working methods.
"I don't know everyone in it anymore, so I don't have complete insider information, but, of course, moving to the Scuderia is fraught with big changes," Vettel said in an interview with the Austrian newspaper Kronen Zeitung. – Of course, Lewis also faced this. Ferrari has its own rules, and this team has its own special culture.
But I know that Maranello is doing everything possible to make this transition easier for him, and they are trying to help him achieve success. If anyone can do it, it's Lewis. There is no doubt about his abilities."
