Horner: Max's title is our top priority.
After eight Grands Prix, Max Verstappen takes third place in the individual standings, behind two McLaren drivers. The head of Red Bull Racing, Christian Horner, considers Max's fifth title to be the main priority of the season – the team does not think about the Constructors' Cup.
Christian Horner: "To compete in the Constructors' Championship, you need to consistently earn a lot of points with two cars. McLaren is doing a great job of that, and competing against them in the Constructors' Cup this year is incredibly difficult, so our top priority is the drivers' championship.
Only one driver in history has won five titles in a row, which shows how difficult it is, and that's exactly what we're going to try to do with Max. We are participating in the fight and we are not conceding much. Max scored two victories, including a very timely victory in Imola, but we have a lot of work ahead of us.
It's important to stay in the fight and not lose too much in the summer, because everything will be decided by the last quarter of the season, when the title contenders will be under serious psychological pressure, and Max is very strong in such a fight."
