Hajjar: Liam did a fantastic job in Monaco.
In Monaco, for the first time this season, the Racing Bulls team scored points with two cars. In many ways, this became possible due to the fact that Liam Lawson restrained his rivals, giving his teammate the opportunity to create sufficient groundwork for a pit stop without losing positions.
On Thursday in Barcelona, Isaac Hajjar noted the contribution of the New Zealand racer to the success of Racing Bulls at the last stage.
Isaac Hajjar: "It turned out great – Liam did a fantastic job. He held everyone back perfectly–we had planned this in advance, and I had already thanked him enough.
I didn't have to do anything special myself. It's easier to hold back in Monaco than on other tracks. It was much more difficult to come up with this strategy and then qualify next to it. That turned out to be the hardest part. If Liam and I hadn't reached the qualifying finals, our plan wouldn't have worked in the race."
