Nico Hulkenberg: Everything turned out very well!

In the Spanish Grand Prix, Nico Hulkenberg finished fifth, and this is the best result of the Swiss team since 2022, thanks to which it beat not only Alpine, but also Aston Martin in the Constructors' Cup. His young teammate, Gabriel Bortoleto, took 12th place.

Niko Hulkenberg (5th): "This result creates a great mood, its taste is very sweet! We've been waiting for him for a long time, probably starting with Melbourne, and yesterday's qualifying was unsuccessful. But funnily enough, it was thanks to this that we got the lucky ticket, because we still had fresh tires. I think the difference in pace between the rolled-up kits and the new ones turned out to be big during the race.

I managed to get a great start and drive the first lap, so I was able to get involved in the fight, and then the car just allowed me to drive fast enough. I consider this race to be one of my best, and the high pace is primarily due to the fact that the technical innovations worked,

and perhaps also because other teams were more affected by the FIA's technical directive on flexible wings than ours. In general, I was quite comfortable driving, I got into a good rhythm, and everything turned out very well!"

Gabriel Bortoleto (12th): "I think I had a pretty confident race, we did everything we could. The start went well, and the team implemented effective tactics, although we may not have been very lucky with the safety car. But as it turned out, so it turned out.

The car was capable of a normal pace, but we started on flattened soft tires, which was probably not the best option. I think this point has yet to be analyzed, because we saw that the rivals, who started with fresh tires, had a noticeable advantage in the first two or three laps.

But I think our whole team took a good step forward this weekend, and Nico managed to score points, which I think shows the potential of our car. This is a very good and important moment that will give us confidence as we prepare for the Canadian Grand Prix, and I'm already looking forward to it."
