Max Verstappen: "Formula 1 is visiting more and more countries that pay handsomely to host the Grand Prix, but where there is no culture of motorsport. I understand the reasons. In the end, you hope that the culture of motorsport in these countries will also develop, but if I were making a calendar, it would look very different and include fewer races.
In my opinion, several tracks deserve a separate status and should always be on the calendar, purely for sporting reasons – these are Spa, Zandfort, Silverstone, Imola, Suzuka and Brazil.
I also like the northern loop of the Nurburgring, but modern cars are unlikely to race there. With the speeds of GT3 cars, this is normal and quite feasible. From time to time, I come across old footage of Formula 1 cars at Nordschleife, which makes it clear that this will never happen again. It's too dangerous."
