Wolff suggests that Le Mans or Indy could be the next step for Bottas.

"He possesses the drive and skill to make a comeback in Formula 1."

Valtteri Bottas might have to abandon his plans to rejoin the Formula 1 grid. This is the perspective of his current F1 team principal Toto Wolff, despite the belief among some of Bottas’ supporters that the 35-year-old will be back on track in 2026. The Mercedes reserve driver often shares humorous posts on social media, but his latest one features him caressing the leather seat of a Cadillac road car with a playful remark: "That’s actually a nice seat." When a friend inquired if he would like to take the seat, Bottas responded: "Not yet." Some interpreted this as a possible indication that Cadillac, which is set to join F1 next year as the new eleventh team, may have already signed the 10-time grand prix winner. "He has the ambition and talent to return to Formula 1," Wolff stated to Bloomberg. "And if that doesn’t happen, he’ll have a successful career in Le Mans, Indycar, or elsewhere, because he possesses that level of skill."
