Perez: Red Bull regrets my dismissal.

      At the end of 2024, Red Bull Racing terminated its cooperation with Sergio Perez, although he had a contract for 2025. The Mexican was replaced by Liam Lawson, who in turn was replaced by Yuki Tsunoda, but he is also regularly inferior to Max Verstappen. Sergio believes that the team has already regretted the decision to abandon his services.

      Asked by Dede el Paddock if he thought Red Bull Racing owed him an apology, Sergio said: "No. After all, this is sport. They have made certain decisions because of the huge pressure they create for themselves. But I know that deep down they regret the decision they made about me. I know about this from a very reliable source.

      What can be done in this situation? Moving on, even though it's hard. People might think that I enjoy seeing their problems, but I don't, because I still have very good friends on the team."

      Sergio Perez added that the original reason for Red Bull Racing's problems was the departure of Adrian Newey from the team: "We had a great team. In the end, we slowly began to lose ground, but we still managed to achieve special results in a highly competitive environment.

      We didn't dominate like Mercedes used to. They had a huge advantage due to the engine, whereas in our case the gaps were minimal. The problems really started with Adrian's departure."
