Helmut Marco: Verstappen's contract runs until 2028

We have already quoted former Formula 1 driver Robert Dornbos's words regarding an additional clause in Max Verstappen's contract, which allows the four-time world champion to terminate his partnership with Red Bull Racing early. However, team consultant Helmut Marko from Milton Keynes assures that current results are high enough for Max to invoke this clause.

"I assume some people will start using the recent race as another reason to stir things up," Marko said after the Austrian Grand Prix. "But let me repeat: Verstappen's contract with us runs until 2028.

Any leading driver's contract includes the possibility of early termination depending on the results. However, given the current situation, there is no reason to believe this contract will not be fulfilled until the end.

At the moment, there is no reason to worry that anyone will leave."
