Ricciardo is 'enjoying' his retirement from F1 so far.
"I'm simply savoring life at a more relaxed pace."
Daniel Ricciardo acknowledges that he is "savoring life at a more relaxed pace." Several drivers, including Ricciardo's former competitors Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez, are connected to a possible return to Formula 1 next year with the new Cadillac F1 team. However, when questioned about Cadillac, the now bearded 35-year-old Ricciardo recently stated: "Nah, I’m done."
Since losing his position at Red Bull’s junior team RB following the 2024 Singapore GP, Ricciardo has been quietly enjoying retirement while also engaging in projects with his Enchante clothing brand and a line of wines. He also made a personal appearance at the 'Daniel Ricciardo Series' karting event at Buckmore Park circuit in the UK last weekend.
"Everything is good," the eight-time Grand Prix winner said when inquired about his retirement, noting that his current life is "not as chaotic." "I'm just enjoying life at a more relaxed pace," Ricciardo smiled. "I know it sounds odd to say I'm retired at 35, but it’s only in regard to the world I used to be part of. Being here, it’s actually the first time I’ve visited a race track since Singapore, I think, so it’s been quite a few months now," the Australian added.
