Hamilton advises Verstappen to switch to Mercedes.

      At Silverstone, Max Verstappen confirmed that he has no plans to change teams or leave Red Bull Racing for Mercedes. However, this did not prevent journalists from asking Lewis Hamilton whether Max should accept Toto Wolff's offer to sign a contract if such an offer is made or has already been made.

      "Of course," Lewis Hamilton replied. "I mean, he's moving from a great team. I've been asked about something like this many times over the years. I don't remember the details, but at that time I was fully committed to Mercedes and I definitely said that Red Bull is just a team of dreamers.

      And I’ve always regretted those words. Honestly, I just meant that Mercedes is a great team, but I kept trying to praise it. However, the truth is that Red Bull is also an incredible team, with many exceptional people working for them, which is why they have dominated for years.

      What would I say to someone asking about Mercedes? I would say it's a fantastic and passionate team. They have excellent staff, a great base, and equipment. So, I would recommend that team, but it will be interesting to see what happens."
