110 minutes until the start: George Russell's commentary

Before the start of the British Grand Prix, George Russell was not particularly excited about the rainy weather...

George Russell: "Thanks to the fans who always support us so great, but they had to get soaked in the rain this morning. Hopefully, we can make up for it with an interesting race. Undoubtedly, cool weather suits the Mercedes car better than 30-degree heat, although, on the other hand, under such conditions, you never really know how things will unfold.

The rain might stop, then start again, so everyone will be closely watching the changing conditions but will continue to fight till the end. I'm not sure what lies ahead for us; the scenario could be anything — for example, we remember how crazy last year's race was.

I think there's not much chance we'll be starting on slick tires, although it's possible that at some point during the race we might switch to them. All we can do is try to go as fast as possible and hope the fans won't get bored."
