Tsunoda and Piastri received penalty points.
During the race at Silverstone, two drivers received 10-second penalties from the stewards – Yuki Tsunoda was deemed responsible for the collision with Oliver Berman, and Oscar Piastre violated safety car rules by braking too sharply before the restart.
The rules require that in such a situation, "the car must move at a speed that does not involve abrupt braking or other maneuvers that could endanger other drivers from the moment the safety car lights go out."
In addition to the 10-second penalties, both drivers received penalty points – Oscar received two (now he has 6 points over 12 months), and Yuki received one (he now has 5 points over 12 months).
