Brandl: The cause was Matešić's death.
The initial emotions after the recent dismissal of the team leader have calmed down, and former Formula 1 driver and expert Martin Brundle discussed on Sky Sports News the underlying reasons for this decision.
Martin Brundle: "The root cause of this crisis was the death of Dietrich Mateschitz, the owner of 49% of Red Bull shares, who held them together with the Yujvidia family. But the team won't fall apart overnight, as it was functioning, with a well-established structure and the right people. The problem is that in the past, when Mateschitz was in charge, nothing happened without his knowledge or approval. He was the absolute leader of this group, and after his death, other people and structures joined it — that's when everything started to go wrong."
