Ferrari is testing a new rear suspension.
The second race day permitted by the regulations at Ferrari will be dedicated to testing the new rear suspension SF-25 in Mugello.
Main drivers will participate in the tests. Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton will drive the 200 kilometers allowed by the rules, first trying out the new solution with a modified suspension mounting point, which aims to reduce SF-25's sensitivity to changes in ride height and improve the overall efficiency of the car. The new suspension will debut during the Belgian Grand Prix weekend next week.
A week later, in Hungary, the modification of the power steering amplifier, which both drivers had complained about in terms of accuracy, will be completed.
The tests at Mugello allow for a wide range of settings to evaluate the car's behavior, including on the long high-speed straight, where the load generated by the floor depending on ride height varies significantly.
