Rumors: Kallenius approved the contract with Max

According to rumors, Mercedes-Benz Group CEO Ola Kallenius has approved signing a contract with Max Verstappen, which could cost up to 120 million euros. Sources claim that the team will not oppose Verstappen if he decides to leave. Gazzetta dello Sport reports that negotiations will be completed by the end of August, and an official statement will be made immediately after the summer break. If the contract is signed, it will trigger a series of transfers. According to AMuS, George Russell is leading the list of potential successors for Verstappen at Red Bull Racing if Mercedes does not extend his contract. If the Brit remains with Mercedes, Red Bull will offer a contract to Sergio Perez, Alex Albon, or Piero Gascoyne. Yuki Tsunoda is unlikely to keep his seat as the second Red Bull Racing driver after the season ends; he may be replaced by Isaac Hadjar, and Liam Lawson's teammate at Racing Bulls will be Arvid Lindblad. However, all of this will happen only after the Verstappen contract situation is resolved.
