Fernando Alonso: We didn't have the pace in the race.
The Aston Martin team brought technical updates to the Belgian Grand Prix, but did not score any points – on Sunday, Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso finished fourteenth and seventeenth. After the race, the team acknowledged that the car upgrades did not meet expectations.
Lance Stroll (14th): "The team had a difficult weekend. We did everything we could, and this result was the maximum for today. We made the right strategic decisions during the race, but ultimately we want to finish in the points.
I'm looking forward to next week's Budapest race. Hungary has a completely different circuit, and I hope we will have more opportunities there."
Fernando Alonso (17th): "Unfortunately, the weekend in Belgium didn't go as planned. We chose rain settings for the car, but most of the race was run on dry asphalt in sunny weather.
I managed to gain a few positions and finish seventeenth, but we lacked pace. The team brought updates to this track, but they didn't provide the boost we expected. We will analyze the data collected and try to make improvements in Hungary."
