The cost of the Aston Martin Formula 1 team has increased to $3.2 billion. This was revealed in a letter of intent signed with the buyer of a minority stake in Lagonda Global Holdings Plc, which owns the Formula 1 team.
According to the agreement, the company commits to selling an unnamed minority stake in the Formula 1 team to an investor for $146 million. Thus, the total value of 100% of the team's shares is $3.2 billion.
Last year, Lagonda Global Holdings Plc already sold a minority stake to HPS Investment Partners and Accel Partners for an amount that, according to Sky News, corresponded to a valuation of the entire team at $2.6 billion. Therefore, the team's value has increased by approximately 23% over the year.
