      "I’m considering the proposal."

Guenther Steiner is set to take charge of the Tech3 MotoGP team, as various sources indicate that the former F1 team principal will oversee the project, backed financially by the U.S.-based investment firm Apex. The agreement, reportedly exceeding 20 million euros, is nearing completion, with Steiner anticipated to take operational control before the major regulatory changes in MotoGP scheduled for 2027. Apex, which manages investments for several professional athletes such as Lando Norris, is understood to be the source of the funding for this initiative.

"I’m considering the proposal," Tech3 founder Herve Poncharal stated earlier this year. "It could involve becoming a shareholder, a partner, or even the outright purchase of the entire team."

As reported by AS and other outlets, the structure of the deal allows for a gradual transition, meaning that there will be no immediate alterations to Tech3’s headquarters, staff, or rider lineup. Both Enea Bastianini and Maverick Vinales are contracted through 2026.

Poncharal has previously spoken highly of Steiner, describing him as "a very straightforward person and very pleasant to potentially collaborate with." He also mentioned that multiple parties have shown interest in the team's long-term prospects, but emphasized that Steiner's proposal stands out as serious and credible.

At 60 years old, Steiner has maintained a presence in the F1 paddock through broadcasting roles since losing his position at Haas. His anticipated move to MotoGP represents one of the first major structural changes since Liberty Media took ownership of the premier motorcycle series.

Although no official announcement has been made yet, Steiner is expected to be present at upcoming events as the transition unfolds behind closed doors.
