Horner is taking a break from the complexities of the F1 world on the Adriatic.
After his unexpected dismissal from Red Bull, Christian Horner has been avoiding the public eye, but recently paparazzi managed to capture him with his family on board the luxurious superyacht Majic, built by the British company Sunseeker.
The length of this vessel, built in 2023, is almost 30 meters; it has five cabins on board, where up to 10 passengers can be accommodated in maximum comfort. The yacht’s cruising speed is 24 knots, and its range is up to 1,300 km. Majic’s crew consists of five people, and the yacht sails under the flag of the island of Guernsey. Experts estimate it is worth more than £10 million.
This week the former head of Red Bull Racing is taking a break from all the difficulties and hustle of the Formula 1 world on the Adriatic Sea in Croatia. He last appeared in public at Silverstone, but just a couple of days after the British Grand Prix his life changed dramatically, and the team he led for 20 years was taken over by Laurent Mekies.
Horner’s activity on social media is minimal, but he does share a few things; for example, it is known that he recently attended an Oasis concert, and this week he posted pictures of the sea at sunset taken from aboard the yacht.
Where exactly they were taken was not reported; however, the online publication 24Sata.hr published a series of photographs showing Horner, his wife Geri Halliwell, the former member of the famous Spice Girls, their children and friends relaxing and unwinding on board Majic, moored in one of the harbors of the Pelješac peninsula in southern Croatia near Dubrovnik.
Apparently Horner’s contract with Red Bull has been finally terminated, but he is unlikely to rush into taking a new job: managers at that level typically spend at least six months on a forced break, known in the world of Formula 1 as “gardening leave.” There are many rumors about what his next workplace might be, but the recent suggestion that he could, in the future, replace Graham Loudon as head of Cadillac F1 remains unconfirmed.
