Andrea Stella: Both drivers should be happy.

Andrea Stella is happy for both of his drivers, who will be starting the Dutch Grand Prix from the front row. However, pole was claimed by Oscar Piastri, although from the very start of the weekend Lando Norris had been slightly quicker than his teammate.

After qualifying, the McLaren team principal was asked whether Oscar had managed to step up in the final session, or whether Lando had eased off a bit.

"It's hard to say, because throughout qualifying they were very close in terms of speed," Stella replied. "On the first run in the final they were separated by just 12 milliseconds, on the second by about four. Both are driving on the limit, and sometimes the difference between them shows up only in small nuances.

Both deserved pole, but the top spot goes to only one. Today Oscar claimed it, so he deserves congratulations! We know that he usually builds the necessary pace gradually over the course of the weekend, but he is also quite capable of delivering when it really matters.

But Lando lost out to him by very little. Let's put it this way: he wasn't able to put together a perfect lap, various issues arose at different moments, but overall we are happy with the result, and the drivers should be pleased with how they drove.

There is a very strong wind today, so it's hard to put in a perfect lap, but tomorrow we will be starting from good positions. The fight promises to be very intense, and it will be so until the very end of the season. That's very good for all of Formula 1, because it makes the races so interesting.

It's not only important to get a good start — strategy will play an important role, so there are many variables, including changing weather."
